The kids were ALL fantastic but my favorite part was when Dianne Holliday so gratefully received her leaving present. Oh!…and the fact I won 20 cans of booze from the raffle. It was a very good afternoon! Reply Mr Firth on July 20, 2012 at 8:49 pm Delighted you enjoyed it. Always good for adults to post positive comments about children’s hard work, I’m sure they will enjoy reading your comment. Reply Dianne on July 21, 2012 at 7:03 am Well what can I say my leaving surprise was that a surprise! Although not graciously received it was much appreciated even tho I made no speech (only because I had to get back to the chocolate fountain) I want to say it has been a pleasure working along side the PTFA members. I was most impressed with the performances the children put on this year they made me smile throughout they are a credit to Jon Luke and the school. Once again the teachers, PTFA, children and parents/carers have pulled together to raise more much needed funds. I am honoured to have been a part of this wonderful school and wish you all well for the future. Oh and if you want a hand with the cans Clare I can help!!!! Reply Helen White on July 20, 2012 at 9:18 pm Well done to ALL the kids and STAFF for all their hard work and effort they put into Strawberry Teas, they were fab and the sun even came out. Oh and by the way Hollys sunflower is now 49 inches tall. Reply Lyz on July 20, 2012 at 9:21 pm Was so impressed with the children’s performances for Strawberry Teas. They always put 100% hard work into everything and it really shines through…as usual it made me cry and as usual it was with pride that this is OUR school…we ALL work together to make it all happen. A pat on the back all round I think!! Sorry Mr Firth if you have 1 or 2 more grey hairs now!! Reply Mr Firth on July 20, 2012 at 9:29 pm More happy customers, great news! Although I’m assumimg you are all in one room! Love the ‘our’ school Mrs W (as long as we remember I get the casting vote!) Enjoy the hols Reply Lyz on July 20, 2012 at 10:00 pm Hmmm Mr F think we will allow you to have the casting vote lol….However, must point out that Mrs W, Mrs W and I live in very different parts of the village and cannot be accused of collaborating on this venture…we ALL very obviously enjoyed the performances and would like to give the staff (especially Jon Luke) a pat on the back as previously stated in my own comments. Am sure Mrs H has given you totals for the day and we are very pleased with the amount raised. Happy Hols to all. Reply MJC on July 21, 2012 at 10:09 am I know it was my last Strawberry Teas but I have to say it was by far my favourite. How the kids managed to sing those songs in different languages was fantastic. A lot of comments have been made about how well the show was put together and how fantastic our kids were so a huge cheer for a great team effort. Now let me go and find the kleenex 🙂 Well done everyone and happy hols Reply Lisa Teasdale on July 21, 2012 at 7:24 pm Loved this years’ Strawberry Teas performance. Well done to all the children, can’t wait for the DVD! Reply V. Mullis on July 21, 2012 at 8:35 pm The weather changed just in time for Strawberry Teas and what a good turn out! I really enjoyed it! The children performed their parts really well and the stalls were busy. The PTFA are on a quest to find out how many years Strawberry Teas has been running, we know it must be at least round the 30 year mark as Clare Wade (40 next year!) can remember it from her time at school. If anyone knows about its history please post a reply or tell a PTFA member, thanks! Reply Clare Wade on July 22, 2012 at 11:43 am Thank you for the reminder of my ‘BIG BIRTHDAY’ next year, Mrs Mullis!! Haha!
