The challenge is on! Mrs Heron has challenged all classes to try out a new type of puzzle called Tarsia. This involves putting together a jigsaw where all the pieces match together because they are maths calculations and answers. Our class kicked it off with some puzzles that she had created on her own. As this was her first time designing these puzzles, she didn’t realise that if you had more than one calculation with the same answer that this makes the challenge particularly tough. However lucky for Mrs Heron we were determined not to give up and although it took some of us two tries, we all got there in the end. Proof that children at High Spen don’t give up wouldn’t you say?
