On Friday 23rd October, KS2 children worked alongside David from the HOP garden and one of our wonderful teaching assistants, Ms Backhouse to make leek and potato soup.
They used produce that children had planted earlier in the year. They also engaged in a bread making masterclass with David.
Once the food was ready we set all the tables and got ready to welcome our guests – nearly 20 members of the Rowlands Gill Live at Home group.
A great time was had by all and the food must have been good since some people came back for seconds.
A huge thank you to Ms Backhouse and David for working with the children and also to Sarah from the HOP garden who has been working with our children each Friday to develop their gardening skills.
