HI ARMS

Miss Kennedy

We are the HI ARMS!

There are 5 deaf children, one Teacher of the Deaf and 3 specialist Teaching Assistants within our ARMS (Additionally Resourced Mainstream School).

We opened in 2011 and we had our first intake of children in 2012.  In 2013, we had another intake of children and more specialist Teaching Assistants.  This has helped us develop our ARMS as we are today.  Please look at our photos to find out what we do each day.

HI staff are committed and hard working. Every day is different but when you see the progress in all of the children, it is worth it.  We feel part of a strong team committed to our children and making a difference to their lives.

We do this by integrating all of our children into mainstream classes with additional support.  This helps to develop language and vocabulary skills.  All children follow the National Curriculum with adapted support, which is tailored to the individual needs of the children.  We take part in all school events, school trips and annual celebrations.

So please follow us and see what we get up to!
