Hello! We are class TY and we are Year 1.

We are named after a local war hero from the First World War called Thomas Young. Thomas won the Victoria Cross medal which is one of the highest honours a British soldier can receive. He was awarded this honour for showing extreme acts of bravery during the war. In class TY we want to be brave and show resilience just like Thomas did.  We want to work hard, have fun and look after our friends. 

Our class teachers this year will be Mrs Halliday and Mrs Cowie, supported by Mrs Whale.
