Amazing Attendance!

What a great way to start a week! In assembly today, Mrs Surtees and Councillor Douglas presented the £500 prize to Beth and her Dad. Beth was not only fortunate to be picked from the 50+ pupils with full attendance since Christmas but was then selected from the Grand Draw of all 70+ schools in Gateshead! Our school also wins £500, which will be used to provide a special treat for all children...

Bike It Club – 02.05.13

Another fantastic bike ride – many thanks to Ben (our Bike It Officer). Look carefully at our sunny shot from tonight – the posh new cycle helmets were a free gift from Sustrans for all children taking part in the rides. Roll on next Thursday!

Extreme Mountain Bike Show!

Due to our success in the recent Big Pedal Event, we welcomed Danny and Ash Butler to High Spen this morning. The Eco Warriors Journey

On Friday 30th November, the High Spen Eco Warriors went on a trip to Highfield school. There are 12 children in the Eco Warriors with Miss Barron and Miss Hurst both playing very important roles. Winter Fair

What a FANTASTIC afternoon we had at the winter fair. Loads of bargains were on offer such as the super handmade gifts created by our enterprising pupil group ‘Crafty Creatures’.
